The location. At least it's a start.

Today we had to make another trip to the design center as there was a possible glitch with one of our tile selections.  It appeared to be a false alarm as the requested sample was close enough to our expectations and we did not feel a change was necessary.  Slowly, time is coming around for our construction date and we are eager to get this show on the road.   The photos show the view from our future backyard.  To the east are the Catalina Mountains and to the west, the golf course and sunsets.  It's a nice expansive view and that's a good thing because our actual back yard will be quite tiny.   But that's also a good thing as neither of us is thrilled with the idea of a lot of weeding.  Interesting how perspective changes when one ages.

KAVIAR

Last week we sold our wonderful boat, KAVIAR.  It's hard as I write, to envision someone else taking possession of her.  She so faithfully took us so many places, places I never dreamed I would ever see.  To the delight of BJ, other boaters often shouted to us from their boats how beautiful they thought she was.  She was unusual in design and thus turned heads  which always started a conversation at marinas...such as "what kind of boat is that"?  It made me feel so competent when I finally got to the point when I could climb all over her without the fear of falling off and handle the lines and fenders when coming into port.  Her bow thruster that I had really encouraged installing during her construction was a marriage saver, I'm sure...:-)  At anchor in a secluded cove, sitting on the aft deck with a good book and some libation will always be one of my favorite memories.   Long may you sail, KAVIAR, and may your new owner care for you in the manner to which you have been accustomed.
